Breakfast is the most important meal of the day there are a number of studies that show the health benefits of having that morning meal breakfast provides your body and brain with the fuel it needs to start the day breakfast prevents you from packing on the pounds whether you're a man or a woman okay the studies show that if it's not just a benefit to your weight studies show eating breakfast can also help lower your risk for chronic illness and prevent heart disease type 2 diabetes and high cholesterol but what you eat is just as important as when you eat we do need to pay attention to what we're eating I know a lot of us like those quick and easy breakfast foods pastries doughnuts we even have to watch out for those high sugar cereals so alternatives we can look for our cereals that have whole grains high fibers or just other grains such as oats and quinoa you also want to make sure your breakfast includes protein like eggs yogurt or milk and be sure to add in a healthy fat and those can be found in avocados and almonds having a nutritious meal in the morning can help keep you energized throughout the day breakfast sets you up for success for the rest of the day and who doesn't want to be successful when it comes to their health so before you start your day take time to feed your body all can make a difference to your day and your overall health
