I have written a posts that advises minnows the same say!
It all follows this order

• Appreciate - See and comment dilligently on other author's works
• Associate - Join communities, talk to people....Come on! It's a social platform not a bank
• Create - Authoring posts now make more sense because you'd have a lot of people willing to check yours out
  ** Do do others what you want others to do unto you**

It doesn't really follow the above named steps directly, it's a mix....
My advise be Creative with the above named steps
