I only follow about 60 people, and I constantly change this list. I do this because I like to minimize noise. I used to do this frequently on Twitter as I want to be able to read what I follow and not just start ignoring it all. I prefer people I can engage with.
There are many people I like but I don't follow because 99% of their posts are not things I want to read, but doesn't mean I don't like them and many cases I talk to them every day.
I'm having a hard time finding people I want to follow, so I'm open to suggestions. I tend to only follow people who talk about the following topics:
- Witnessing
- Technology
- Gadgets
- Gaming (not streams, I don't have a lot of time to watch them)
- Crypto (not just regurgitated news)
- 3D Printing
- Development
- Steem
- Abuse Fighting
- Security
- or just plain funny, I love funny.

I've never heard about an appliance called a Frustrated Cocksucker. Which brand makes it? Bosch? Miele? Whirlpool? Maybe it's one of the smaller brands and it's not sold in regular appliance shops. Or if it is sold there, it's under the counter stuff.

I follow 120 people, which isn't many at all compared to others, but I definitely agree with you. It's hard to keep up with everything, which I don't.
I just figured that while I have them on the list, I might as well keep them there. I unfollowed about 40 people not that long ago to update my list a bit, but it was probably not enough.
As for people you could follow, I'd say @deadspace. He is hilarious and should meet some of your other criterias. He's not that active though, which might in fact be a positive thing for you in this case, as you want to reduce the noise.
The reason I haven't been that active was due to my computer being dead for about 5-6 weeks without a real solid way to post. It's fixed now, and I plan on having 4-6 posts out a week. Though, I suppose that's still not a lot.

I have been enjoying #archdruid posts lately. Many writers talking about games, instead of just videos. I really enjoy reading responses to the contests, which is usually an opinion question we have to write a post about.
Any time someone is just being real, that draws me in instantly. If they are more drama and division than kindness and sharing, that's a big turn-off. At least having some personality, that's a must.
