ORCHIDS AND HOW TO FEED THEM
Orchids develop in almost any climate where they exist in a wide variety of sizes, colors and fragrances, but helping them thrive requires time, effort and the right fertilizer. Commercial fertilizers for orchids are good, but you can also make your own home fertilizer.
FOOD REQUIREMENTS OF ORCHIDS
Because orchids grow above the ground and are watered by rain, they receive their nutrients in a very diluted form, so they need a light fertilization once a week.
RECIPES
.- To offer the necessary calcium and potassium, use liquefied egg shells, boil 20 eggshells in a gallon of water and let them rest for eight hours then strain the egg shells and store them in a container with lid so you can use it weekly.
.- Another way is to use potatoes in cubes that you have boiled for several minutes along with pieces of fresh banana.
.- You can also fertilize them with water where you have boiled rice by providing additional vitamins.
