That's a very beautiful combination @allyinspirit. I like that it is both yours and Degas.
On a completely different note and, wondering outloud. Would you be able to sell that as a print if you wanted to or are Degas, and the other greats, untouchable? I wonder how far from the original you would have to go for it to be OK.
I've not heard of Deep Dream Generator or, if I have, I have forgotten. I'm not doing any art at the moment. Don't feel any inspiration for it at all at the moment.
Glad to hear you've been enjoying yourself! 😍
I've tried combining my images with all my favourites ~ Except Georgia O'Keeffe. Still to come.
It's taking a while to really 'get it' ie that it's not like Photoshop where you work with layers of different interweaving images. It's more adapting what is called your Base image to another 'Style' of drawing or painting, design or photo etc: Their colour combinations and marks.
In this case the end result doesn't really look like Degas' imagery, but it picked up the colours in the image and the charcoal line effects. It's always an unknown how any image will turn out ~ But the unexpected can really give your 'creativite one' a mega boost.
If you are all out of inspiration maybe give it a go. Just play with it, and it could spark something for you.
https://deepdreamgenerator.com will take you to the trending page. Some amazing imagery comes out of the combinations of found imagery ~ But I haven't seen all that many people who are actually using their own imagery. While it's gimmicky, it's a great artist's TOOL.
This is my favourite at the moment. Combining my own image of a rose assemblage with the Style of Adam Martinakis. Adam uses gold in his sculptural work which the DDG picks up beautifully. 💖
Thanks for the extra information. I had a quick look @allyinspirit but it wasn't easy to pick up without some instruction.
I've find the tutorial by @carlgnash but didn't have time to really go through it today. It looks like it could be good fun. I'm looking forward to playing with it some time. 😍
Initially it takes time to learn how to use the different DD settings. I took my time to work through Carl's tutorial ~ Which was mamoth, but once you start the real mamothness is in the experimentation away from the default settings. I hope you have a great week-end Gillian. 💖
thanks @allyinspirit. Wishng you a lovely weekend too.
I'm going to Londond to the Cryptocurrency Show. Steem has a stand so I'll be meeting some more real live Steemians in the flesh! 😊
John is coming too, although he's going to Natural History Museum rather than coming to the show, but we're staying overnight and looking forward to wandering around London a bit on Sunday.
Sounds GREAT Gillian. Hope you're having a wonderful time connecting to some like minded and hearted spirits. 💖
It was really fun @allyinspirit. I'll be doing a write up tomorrow. 😁
