This is exactly what I don't like about Steemit. These people always vote for themselves and their best friends or whatever relationship they have and don't care about others. We, minnows, have @curie (and other similar curators) only to help us grow while these people are still filling their pockets with money and when someone shows up his disapproval, they will, of course, avenge. As if your 5$ made a difference in their reward ...
Every newcomer, who is at least a little worthwhile, is sweating blood here and trying to write the best posts he can and what he gets? Nothing. And then there are people with 60+ reputation whose upvote has enormous value and every one of their shitpost has a payout large as fuck meanwhile nobody reads our good posts... But of course, there are also some exceptions, who do something for the community :)
And I fully agree with your moral standard. Mine is the same. I don't upvote my comments. I hate it when someone does. And about greed... I think that this comment speaks for itself.
My posts, all original content, rarely get over $10 in rewards. Spammers with groupies get hundreds. This kind of problem is exactly what drives away newcomers and fuels distrust in crypto ventures.
I understand them...
And yes, despite this, some people are honest and are trying to get from bottom to the top by their efforts only. I want to be one of them. On the other hand, one encounters people like @purepinay, who has gained her glory and giant payout only and only buying bot upvotes. These people are taking us readers - all those blind sheep that are attracted by giant payouts. Someone should open their eyes :)
Well, fuck my reputation, I must write my own hate post...
As Steem Pope, I advise writing from a standpoint of principles rather than hatred.
And staying quiet solves nothing, we need to risk it and get a flag or two for the greater good sometimes. I'm happy to take the bullet here, means I'm doing something right.
I just talked to the admins of adsactly for an hour, with them reassuring me that they are good whales, then they flag this post as 'hate speech'...
Wow, just wow.
Good whales don't do this. Point a bad behaviour, get revenge flagged, and get flagged for hate speech. "Join adsactly today, we leverage you... "
That reminds me of communism
