ABOUT THE PHOTO
This photo has so many possibilities... Truck photo? Wedding photo? Landscape Photo?
Surprise me! It's a pretty a good picture as well so that's always fun.
Each year me and my photographer friends take our trucks somewhere remote and take pictures for a few days. Just so happened Heidi got married last year so we took a few pictures of her out there in the remote parts of Canyonlands.

Thanks, I have been playing around with it lately. I think it's one of those things that make you take a double look to find out what's going on.
So so nice I'm gonna give you a full upvote on a recent post since this is already 7 days old!
But I loved this ... just have a hard time with the forground being so dark. If it's that dark just go ahead and crop it out... i'm not too attached to it.
Thanks for the advice I will keep that in mind next time ;) looking back at it now and comparing it with others I can see it's way too dark.

Look @jarvie, I like your truck, a lot, and even @parkerboyack's landcruiser, and one day I shall join you with my Sequoia for a Toyota family party, but I cloned them out in Photoshop, because well, Photoshop.
I really wanted to summon my inner Jarvie for this one and give it that contrasty, colorful Jarvie treatment. I hope I did it justice.

Not just for the removal of the trucks but because it's a bright happy edit with some good moodiness left in.
Ok, so I edited the photo like 5 times. It's so hard to work with so many elements. And I really didn't want to crop out your so beloved trucks. So I added some more dramatic light to the couple to bring the attention towards them. And of course added tons of color just for you @jarvie

I just couldn't help it! Look at that sky. It calls for drama :)
So I really tried to crop to only the couple, but I really do like the cars in the mix. I did do a little 16:9 ratio tho because it's my favorite crop for landscape.

I focused on the marriage. :-)
I went for the wedding theme with this image, and not knowing the personal connection with the trucks i opted to get rid of them and focus the image onto the bride and groom.
What i did....
Re framed, extending the sky out to fill 2/3rds of the frame.
Cloned out the trucks/ roads to draw attention to the couple.
Slight colour toning for the shadows and highlights
Dodge and burning
Lifted the blacks using a curve layer to add the magazine look.
And finished it off with a lil bit of selective sharpening on the couple to make them pop.
Yay a wedding image! Really cool shot, love the lighting!
It's all zeroed out in LR ... just wait until you see it with some settings applied!!!

oh wow, I was in some mood Friday ;)
Actually, the image is already good in RAW )) I just revealed more details and compressed space between the couple and the trucks to make the composition more balanced.
Top 3 edit for sure.
Stepping into the Future Together...
I was looking to bring the natural colors of the scenery out in a way that it looks as stunning as it was to be there. The trucks did nothing for me, so I cropped it to bring the most focus I could on the couple (who now stand out much better) and their future together. (The sky is the limit for them.) I hope you like it.

Great shot @jarvie, lot of opportunities for post processing. Considering that a lot of people will go for the wedding shot I decided to concentrate on the landcruiser to have a different cut :)
After the cropping I made just some minor adjustment and added some colors.

I thought I earned 2sbd from this competition .. I guess I am wrong
For me it made no sense that the couple was going away fromt hose cars so i fliped them
interesting is that from my picture?
It hurt to go black and white because the colors were one of the best things about this image, but there weren't enough monochrome edits here yet, and it does work well.

3 days ago was friday that is when this was posted, then it say 5 days time, and it say deadline Sunday. I am confused :-) Can I still make an other one or is this one finished? sorry to not understand.
If we are only allowed to bring one in, my first one is the one i prefer, but I can imagine some people would like this maybe more.
