Ok Fine I'm Jumping On The Bandwagon
I'm not sure where this little fad started but @eriluks nominated me and now I'm obliged to partake :-P
I nominate @allasyummyfood and @beanz who now must also write facts about themselves!
1. I Dropped Out of University
I'm one of those people who followed their passion in choosing a degree course. I have always been fascinated by physics and astronomy, so Physics with Astrophysics was a natural first choice of degree. I still love those things today, but I was never able to study. I got away with it in secondary school and the first year of University, but I started to be punished for it in 2nd and 3rd year. I had to repeat 2nd year once for a Math exam, and 3rd year twice. I never ended up passing General Relativity and ended up dropping out of University entirely. I never really understood why I was like this until many years later when I learned that...
2. I have ADHD
Later when my career as a software developer had gotten going I actually began to realize there was something specific that was wrong with me. Before then, it had always just been a vague problem, something that affected every aspect of my life but I was confounded by what the problem really was. After talking to a friend who had also been diagnosed, I eventually recognized that the traits were a description of myself and my problems. A specialist in diagnosing ADHD agreed (eventually, after a long waiting period). This enabled me to get help in the workplace from Enable Ireland, and although I tried to get treatment for ADHD symptoms, I haven't really found anything that works for me yet, but recently things have been going ok despite that.
3. I Started Following Bitcoin in 2011 When it was $2
I think...
I'm not 100% sure when exactly it was, but I came across Bitcoin on the Stack Exchange website, which I was obsessed with when I first got into software development in 2010/2011. Bitcoin.StackExchange was a relatively new part of the site, and it piqued my curiosity. I had also been thinking about the nature of money and especially the problems of our current financial system since the 2008 crash. I thought that the future was something like MPesa, ideally with several competing central banks. Bitcoin was a better solution, although I didn't quite realize it at the time. It wasn't until early 2013 that I first tried to buy Bitcoin, having followed it only loosely but hearing about interest surging. Getting signed up and verified with Mt. Gox was too much of a hassle though, and it's probably for the best that I never did. You all know how that went...
Thankfully I bought into Steem a lot quicker.
4. I'm a Dog Lover
My family have had dogs since I was fairly young, and I was never quite happy without one. As soon as I lived in a place where I was allowed, I got a dog, my little Norwich Terrier which you can see in my profile picture. My parent's dog (pictured above) spends about 1/2 her time with myself and @beanz as well.
5. I just Registered on MillionaireMatch.com
I mean come on, $750,000 worth of Steem Power has to open some doors, right?? Seems a bit false advertising though, none of the girls are millionaires...
go for it!! 😉😊😊Trust me, $750k in the bank will make you appear really attractive!!
Yeah, maybe not, but it's a pleasant illusion...
This was a great read, especially knowing you in real life. Not sure how serious you are about the Millionaire Match thing, but wouldn't it be better to fall in love with someone who think's you're poor, then surprise them later? Maybe that's me being idealist. I dunno. You've got loads going for you though, money aside.
I created an account, I'm not sure I'll really use the site.
To your point though, would it not be better to fall in love with someone who thinks you're physically unattractive, but only to show that you're actually fit as fuck later? I don't think it's any more shallow to be attracted to wealth and earning potential (which translates into stability, security) than looks. That said, a site like that isn't necessarily the best place to search, but I don't think being on it makes you a gold digger either.
very interesting perception and i agree , just gotta be careful for those who are not nice! but security and stability for a woman is everything!
This is a great idea! I'm looking forward to more of these.
A dog-lover with a short attention span and a lot of Steem. Yes, you are going to do very well on MillionaireMatch. I have to admit, that this sounds like it could set you up for a lot of people who are interested in just one thing. I sure hope you will share some of the people you meet!
Thanks for sharing a bit about yourself! I enjoyed it.
Whatsup! Do a fivefacts! Pleeez!
I never knew you dropped out! :O I've dropped out once as well and I have another year left. I know the pain of not being able to study :P
AND millionaires matched??? LOVE IT!!!
I can't imagine that you would know that, I don't think I've told many people on Steem about my personal life. Only my older friends who I'm trying to drag in would know that stuff.
"$750,000 worth of Steem Power has to open some doors, right?? Seems a bit false advertising though, none of the girls are millionaires" - Haha too much LOL on both the statements:)
Well, they say save the best for the last. Now I know why. I burst out laughing reading your 5th fact.
By the way, I have around 195 SP, does that count for something in this world :P
Yes I think that counts for something :-)
well everyday i keep thinking that universities are overvalued at least most of them in every possible aspect, it's only worth if you choose it in terms of learning something specific and even if that's the case a maste would be better than 4 years of studies ( if you wanna talk about this further let me know cause i can type a lot :P )
About ADHD i learned 1-2 years ago. i knew what it was in theory and i couldn't understand it but i met a guy in my university that had it. he was really trying and still does but unfortunately he is behind in classes and courses than most of our generation and i think for people like you and him the whole educational process must a bit different. i don't know how and if it's happening in other countries but something must be done especially for people who wanna learn and kept behind by it
i checked bitcoin when it was about 100$ i am still regretting haven't buy any :p but i am more than happy i found steem
haha i don't know milaionaireMatch seems kind of funny to me, in general i don't like dating sides, instead i try my luck and whatever happens (except if the girl is impolite then word war 2 is gonna happen) but i wish you to find what you are looking for and who knows maybe in the future we see her account here :P
Thanks for sharing! It seems an interesting challenge! Congrats for pursuing your dream! Your dogs are so cute, I am also a dog person! have a wonderful day @demotruk
Excellent five facts. I managed to sign up and get Goxed back in 2011. Do hope you meet your Millionaire match.
This is definitely an enjoyable read, thanks for sharing! Good luck on your love life. The cute dog will help!
Nice post and sweet lovely dog
Haha! Nice post! I heard about Bitcoin in July 2011. I got my first part of a Bitcoin in 2012.
That's awesome. I wish I had the same foresight back then.
Lol, i love most things about you except you dropping out of university. You just be the cool guy with these five things about you. I also love dogs so much, I have a local dog, her name is Bruno, she is 4 year old. I also have 5 things about me, you can check them in the link below if you want.

Thanks for sharing your story @demotruk. I have my bachelors degree and till now haven't found a job. So the education was totally wasted.( not that I didn't get wiser). And thanks for the votes in the past ;-)
