Thank you very much, I think you are quite right. And that resort is supposed to be one of the best - you think that hurt I learnt to snowboard on Dry Ski Slopes in the UK - basically hills of upturned yard brush bristles - when you hit that hard it hurts - took a good portion of my face skin off once doing University competitions at Loughborough dry slope slalom racing - was worth it though I beat the skier to the finish - even if I crossed the line on my face! Yeah, I was really lucky. Though, plenty of times when I went out boarding on the weekends I was playing on ice fields. Man do you learn to keep your balance that way, and keep that front edge up, because when you didn't...pow But the speed....so much fun, hehe.
