RE: Fitness Over 40- ARE YOU HAVING CHALLENGES GETTING UP FROM YOUR COUCH or CHAIR?

in #fitness6 years ago

I got into running in my 40s as I felt my body was struggling and I was putting on some weight. I think I'm much fitter now and have run a half marathon. Amazing things are possible if you put in the work

Sort:

I agree with you 100%.
I am also in my forties and I have to say I have been the strongest and the most fittest ever in my life.

As you wisely said, if you put forth the effort the right mind set anything is possible.

What is your weight now?

I'm at around 76kg and 187cm tall. I was about 4kg heavier at the start of the year. I don't watch what I eat too much, but I think it's fairly healthy. I gave up meat many years ago.

Congratulations I'm losing for kilos! This kind of success can we get difficult many people.

Question would you say that you arrived at you ideal health?

If not the secret would be to focus on what you eating.
I'm not saying that you should go on a diet 😊. I've had most of my clients excluded word out of your vocabulary.
The word that can sound a little depressing don't you think?

What we should be focusing on is learning the art on "how" to eat.

Try focusing on 80% food and 20% exercise.

You'll see more sustainable results.

How many times have the week are you jogging?

I run about 3 times a week, but I walk a lot too these days. I changed jobs and previously I used to drive to the office, but now I walk and get the train. I think that has helped. I'm probably about okay with my weight, but I may look to build a little more muscle that may put some back on. I'm just trying to be healthy and happy.

Nice routine. Always remember that consistency is key.
