One of few goals for 2026 is to get jacked! I started taking my fitness seriously around the third quarter of 2025, and it is one of the best decisions I made.
I had my first workout session for 2026 yesterday, and it was okay. A few things have changed. For instance, I lost about 2 kg! Strange right? Most people get fat during the festive season while the opposite is the case for me.
Gaining weight is probably one of my biggest struggles and no one really mentioned how much you need to eat as a body builder. It is a shit ton of proteins and carbs. So now I need to buck for the next few weeks.
FITNESS GOAL FOR 2025
1. Maintain a body fat rate of about 10%-15%
The last time I checked (about an hour ago) I was about 12% body fat. I am still within the healthy range, but it would be nice if I can reach single digit body fat percentage (just for the fun of it).
2. Get my weight up to 80 kg
I am currently sitting between 68-70 kg. This has been my weight range for the past 3 Months. To get to my weight goal I will need to eat more, hence, the bucking phase. That means 4-6 meals per day (I struggle to get 3 in on most days). This is going to be the hardest part of fitness journey this year.
For the first part of the year I will be focusing more on my triceps, lats and shoulders to give me that body builder aesthetic. So my workout routine will be tailored towards targeting these muscle groups more.
Another thing I need to work on is reducing my time at the gym. I spend roughly 2 hours in the gym and I don't believe it is effective. The time I spend in the gym the better I understand my body and what works for me. So hopefully soon, I will draft a workout routine that best suits me.
