Head stand is considered the king of all poses in yoga because of its benefits and what it requires to be in the pose.

If you don't, let me share the benefits of headstand with you.
1.Complexion
Headstand increases the flow of nutrients and oxygen to the face thereby, making your face and skin glow.
2.Hair
Decreases the growth of grey hairs through the flow of blood to the scalp which leads to healthy hair growth.
3.Sex
Headstand stimulates the sex hormones by sending refreshed blood to the pitutuary and hypothalamus gland which in turn stimulates other hormones vital to sex life and general Wellbeing.
4.Improved Circulatory System
Reduces the work of the heart to pump blood upwards to the brain and also allows blood to flow from the lower extremities of the body to the heart.

Increases your digestion by cleaning and detoxifying your intestines through the reversed pull of gravity.

I didn't know this about headstands interesting the number of benefits and I can see how having a teacher to practise this would be a good idea.
