I participated in my second bikini show this year, learning so much more and brining a much better package to stage. Along the way I learnt a few tips and tricks for loosing weight and getting fit 🙂 I am going to share some of my tips and secrets with you below!!!
1. Fasted Cardio
- Fasted cardio is done on an empty stomach, first thing in the morning. It can be High Intensity cardio, or moderate to low cardio depending on what your body best responds to.
2. No carbs before bed
- One of the tips that I found most useful is not having carbs at dinner or before bed. This helps your body not have too many calories to process whilst your body is sleeping. A proper protein, vegetable and fat source is all that is needed before bed to ensure muscle recovery.
3. Drinking Lots of Water
- Drinking up to 4-5 litres of water a day does not only accelerate fat loss but improves our skin, and our bodies functions. it is one of the greatest anti- oxidants we can drink.
4. Weight Training
- 4-5 days of weight training a week is incredible for building muscle as well as loosing fat. weight training helps burn more calories, and accelerates fat loss!
5. The foods that I am about to suggest are what works for my body. I normally go on blood type as I am A+ my body thrives on fish, and vegetables. but during a fat loss stage I like to keep my diet balanced of protein, Carbohydrates and low fats. My protein choices would be Chicken and Fish. My carbohydrate choices would be white basmati rice, sweet potatoe, rice cakes. Veggie choices are all green veggies. Fat choices is coconut oil, olive oil, peanut butter.
