Hello fellow steemers
I've decided it's time for a change!
One of the hardest lessons I had to learn as a freshman in college last year was that the dreaded "freshman 15" is NO laughing matter! In my first year of college, I went from eating right, and working out 5 times a week, to eating fast food twice a day without setting one foot in a gym for weeks. I know... Quite the dramatic change, isn't it?
But what happened? How did I lose all of these good habits after years of hard work? I got lazy; that's what happened! School is tough - don't get me wrong, but no matter how much work was due, or how busy things were, I know that if I really wanted to, I could've made time for a lot of it.
A little about myself...
I've been studying fitness and how the body works since I was 10. It was always a fascination of mine. Something about going to the gym, getting in a good lift, and coming home to a nutritious meal, gave me such a huge feeling of purpose and accomplishment.
I was always a bit heavier when I was younger which bothered me more as I got older. It wasn't even just how I looked, it was how I felt from eating junk all day.
Around the time I turned 15 was when the heavier lifting began. My school teacher Mr. Beal and I were good friends throughout my high school years, and so happens to know a TON about weightlifting. He's the real MVP in this story because without him, I would've never gotten were I am today.
After 3 years of putting his words into action, my hard work was finally starting to pay off

A little before that in the spring, during my Junior year of high school, I joined a soccer team called REAL Bristol. Luckily my team was very skilled and won three tournaments in a row! It was an honor learning from those guys.
So here's my plan...

Hey - just saw this post as I was looking through the new posts. Good on you for doing this and making a commitment, don't be discouraged by the lack of response this week.
It's very, very lame compared to your workout but I've been doing 7-min.com a couple times a day. Good if you're short on time.
Thank you! Good luck with yours too!
I'm very stoked to see the #fitness category getting some love. I did a video a while back and it's been interesting to see more people join in and do a fitness challenge. Congrats!
Thank you for your support. I am very excited as well!
Posts like this are so inspiring - watching to see your progress. Might even get up out of my blue chair to move around a bit, too! :) Go, #fitness!
