Many people assume that you have to jump onto a treadmill hit start and then just wait for the time and mileage to pass. Instead let's be more interactive with our workout and try intervals!!!
Try breaking up your runs and increase the pace!!!
Instead of just running a straight 20-30 mn how about you speed it up and run for the 30-60 seconds at a higher pace and then rest or walk for 30-60 seconds.
This will force the body to work harder and burn more calories!! If you are looking to get ripped do sprints!!
So here is a simple workout.
Dynamic warmup to get the blood pumping 3-5 mn
-Neck circles
-Shoulder circles both directions
-Cross arms
-Trunk twists
-Arm circles both directions
-Hips side to side
-Hips front to back
-Ankle circles
Warmup run/jog for 3-5 mn on treadmill or around track.
Now set the treadmill at a pace you can hold for only 30-60 seconds.
Run it and then rest 30-60 seconds
Repeat 5 to 10 times!!!
Good luck
Interval training is so hard! Nice post.
Gets you to shred down and save some time!!!
