No! Fat does not turn to muscle. It is a common misconception. One that I suffered personally from. I got fat on purpose thinking I was going to turn the fat into muscle. That did not happen. As I pursued fitness I learned quit differently. You build muscle by working the muscle to the extent that you cause micro tears in your muscle fibers, then feeding the muscles nutrients(mainly protein)and resting to let them heal. This will result in growth also known as hypertrophy. Repeat to process over and over slowly increasing weight or reps and you will continue to grow. So fat does not turn into muscle but what will happen is the more muscle you build, the more fat you will burn provided you don't increase your caloric intake as you grow. The best way to lose fat is to build lean muscle and have actually a caloric deficit. Be warned no more than 500 to 1000 calories less than what you burn daily. (deficit) I will be writing more knowledge busting myths and giving fitness knowledge on Steemit. Don't forget to upvote and follow @fixin1 for more fitness knowlege.
