Hey you! Yes you! Sitting at your computer!

You have the power to change your own life in such a positive way.

So you want to be thinner? You want to be healthier and feel better about your body?
You want to create a great habit and/or change bad habits in your life?

YOU have the power to change that and YOU are the only person who can truly make you happy.

Not a significant other, not friends or family. These people can support you and love you, yes. But ONLY YOU have the power to make yourself truly happy. I think this is a point that many people miss and if you want to create positive changes in your life, then go out there and make that happen. Not tomorrow, not the next week. Today.

For example, I dreamed of stepping on stage and competing in bodybuilding. I dreamed of becoming a strength athlete and becoming STRONG. I had to buckle up, create great habits in order to meal prep, pose everyday when I was continuously losing weight for my competition and cut out a large part of my life (social life, foods I enjoy, time with family) to do so.

It's hard, nobody will contest that. BUT all it takes is for you to take that first step towards a journey. It's worth it and I can assure you that you will be happier for taking on a journey towards your own goals and achievements.

Here is a little transformation picture of what I went through during my different phases of being a young skinny guy in high school, to beginning to lift and bulk, and then to when I began to cut weight for my competition. As you can see I worked my ass off and don't regret one minute of any of it.

What's your goal and what will you do to achieve it?

I agree strongly with your outlook on being the curator of your own destiny (as it were). Only you can make the changes in your life; 'Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results'. Well done on your transformation but, moreover, your willingness to change - I wish you luck the continuation of your journey.

Aw, thanks man. I really appreciate it. I never looked at it like that. Not to sound arrogant or pompous in any way, but people have also told me that they admire my determination and motivation to complete my many ventures and I have a hard time reflecting on myself I guess. I appreciate your kind words and wish you well on your own journey :)

That's awesome to hear! I think everyone needs to hear that. It gets hard to start, but once you get started it becomes downhill afterwards. Great post! upvoted!

Thanks man! It can be so difficult to start, I completely remember how insane it was to just get into the gym or measure my food in the beginning. To even start is a big deal, BUT it's more worth it than I can even convey. Thanks for the upvote! :)
