Yesterday was the last day of work. I hope to never work for someone else again.
I have been fishing after work for the last couple of months at a spot that is in a residential neighborhood close to work. What is amazing is that there are a lot of gamefish in this little lake. The runoff flows from the adjacent heavily-trafficked roads.
Even if I liked to eat freshwater fish, I would not eat these bass!!
I have never found largemouth bass in a more polluted waterway.
Shallow crankbaits work wonders in this lake. Plastic worms rigged Texas, Carolina or Senko style do not work so well. Also, the crankbaits regularly catch bluegill and yellow perch.
When it rains, I catch lots of chunky bass within a few feet of the mouth of the drainage pipes.
Such an odd little lake.
