This is a photo of our new water pump. It’s a Red Lion brand, 6hp and aluminum so it’s not to heavy to tote around. Installation was pretty easy, just needed engine oil and gas. Took me a minute to get it started at first because I forgot to turn the fuel valve on 😂.
In the picture you can also see the brush and suction I use to clean the fish tanks. What you can’t see is how we use the waste water that the fish produce - it’s great fertilizer for the plants. I’ll post a video of them in action another time as well as more on our set up here at Sweetie’s!
I am designing a cheap water well drilling rig for most people . I used a water pump like this . It made my design into a beast . It was a bit more powerful than i needed but , at least i know if i have someone wanting a little more power what to use.
Hey once you have it up and running I’d love to check it out! I’m sure you know you can change the power with the throttle but even with .5 less HP than the last engine this baby packs quite a punch. But I’m interested in the water well drill because we might need another well on the farm soon!
Actually, i already have a working prototype as we speak. I just havent let anyone see it yet nor plan to until i finish it . I am working out some kinks i have with it but i have high hopes to have a finished design by the end of this year as long as i have enough money to do so . I have spent quite a bit on different designs. You can check out my postings once i finish it i will post on here a page then i will be doing some videos on youtube and dtube of how to operate it and such . I will probably sell some and get feedback from people then do two versions one for here in the U.S where most people have access to water and one for overseas that will be a little labor intensive. The end goal is to be able to have one that is portable and cheap enough to mass produce that i can send overseas where the clean water sources are scarce above ground but they have aquifers that has clean water underground and end that situation maybe help out someone . And one i can send here in the U.S you can just hook into a regular water hose or trash pump to dig with .
