FirstBlood, the eSports Rewards Platform Built on Ethereum, Gets Down to Business with White Paper Release

Based on Ethereum smart contracts, FirstBlood will allow eSports players to challenge each other and win rewards

Hey everyone, it's @jasonmcz again with @zackcoburn. In the past, I've been most well known for publishing the incredible true story about market making Steem dollars using a market making bot while competing against shady Steem whales. I've been told the harrowing and gripping adventure tale reads like a cross between Herman Mellville's "Moby Dick" and Michael Crichton's "Sphere." But don't take my word for it (remember that show, anyone?), grab yourself a lobster, hit the beach, and have a read!

But not yet! I have something even more riveting for you to bring to the beach. For the past several months, I've been working fastidiously with a team of top-notch cofounders to produce a White Paper. The startup we're working on, FirstBlood, is a decentralized eSports rewards platform. Players of games like League of Legends, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, and Hearthstone can use FirstBlood to challenge each other. If you win your match, you get a reward!

The defining feature of FirstBood is that it's a decentralized platform built on the cryptocurrency called Ethereum. By harnessing Ethereum smart contracts, FirstBlood allows people to fund eSports matches without trusting a central party. Furthermore, FirstBlood relies on a decentralized witness and jury system to determine match outcomes. The platform incentivizes members of the jury pool with a percentage of the revenue from every match using something called FirstBlood Token.

We published our White Paper on GitHub, and we hope you'll enjoy reading it. The point of the White Paper is to describe the technical details of the system we've designed as the backbone to the FirstBlood platform. The White Paper also includes a timeline, details about the team, and other details about FirstBlood as a business. Central to the FirstBlood platform is the FirstBlood Token that incentivizes the decentralized jury pool. We're planning a crowdsale to allocate these tokens and fund the project. Stay tuned for that. In the meantime, we're interested in hearing any feedback you have about the White Paper. Feel free to join us in the FirstBlood Slack. Until next time, fellow Steemians!

Will for sure read through that whitepaper!
Thank you for this, can't wait to play hearthstone again!
If the e-sport community got their eyes up for crypto currency in a easy way like this might prove to be i think we will gather a lot more support from the younger generation in the future.

The best of luck @jasonmcz

Thank you @harand, we definitely think this will be a project that bridges crypto community with the mainstream gaming community. Join us on slack!

This reply looks like something written by a bot. Take care. Perhaps @dantheman will flag you some day.

it does look like a bot.

I have a feeling this could be really big in the esports world.

I will definitely be keeping an eye on this, love gaming, unfortunately my gpu's are um, busy atm :)

Interesting blog. Same thoughts here. I strongly advice people to only buy in to cryptos that have a solid background: A solid team, product, advisors, preferably VC investors, etc. Sell all cryptos that don't have this solid background. It's a waiste of money. I found this great website: https://www.coincheckup.com. The site lets you check all there is to know about the team, product, communication transparency, advisors and investment statistics on every crypto. Check for example: https://www.coincheckup.com/coins/FirstBlood#analysis For the FirstBlood Report
