Our community project down here on the coast of Chile is still coming together nicely but so far, we've only been able to show you the view from ground level. Now, with our trusty new quadcopter, we can now let get a better lay of the land. I'm still a newbie at this whole drone pilot deal but even without much experience, I've been able to make quite a bit of progress in a fairly short time. It has been recklessly tossed around, gotten wet, and even survived a riverside crash (2 kayaks and a machete later). I'm especially impressed by how well it handles the wind. It was a fairly breezy day when I shot this stuff but we still got some usable footage and will definitely go back for more once the weather clears up again. Enjoy.
I posted a drone video and nobody cared LOL. Anyway first evidence of somebody else using the tag drones. I didn't choose good tags so I think nobody really saw it.
Really clean footage. I love the scenery and some nice flying on your part. It's really fun to do isn't it?
Cool! Wish someone had convinced me to make a new account when I lost my password to this one in May.. :D came back after the payouts and remembered where I had stored it, Oh well, better then than later I guess ^^
Oh nice! I have the Phantom 3 Standard. The biggest problem right now is that I spent $800 on a Drone that doesn't work with my phone. (Samsung Galaxy S3) the DJI App used to work flawlessly and then my phone updated or the app I am unsure a this point. I am having a world of troubles finding a way to downgrade although I have tried several programs and methods...
Oh well, I can still fly it at least, it just sucks my phone isn't working right with it. I live in Colorado and being able to shoot the mountains is pretty awesome.
Here is a picture from last night while I was testing the app with my phone to get it working again. It was still not able to receive video after around 10 hours of trying. :(
Do you mind if I ask how you fly your drone? Do you use just a remote or do you also use your phone?
Which version are you using and do you use the DJI GO app? Sorry I don't mean to dig, I have been working on this for several months now and have yet to find a solution :(
Sure. For quick, simple things like this, something basic like Windows Movie Maker is enough. When I make a more professional one for advertising purposes, I'll use Da Vinci Resolve and Adobe After Effects.
It's fantastic to see like the birds while remaining on the ground.
Absolutely :)

Thanks, it sure is :)
Uber kewel. Congrats.
Thanks :)
Cool! Which drone do you have?
I took the time to check out the website and Fort Galt looks pretty awesome, pretty great idea in general and the location is absolutely beautiful.
Hope some freelance Steemers will be able to make use of that opportunity, maybe after the next price rise?;)
It's the DJI Phantom 4
Haha, yeah, for sure. It was one of our members, @onceuponatime, that introduced me to steemit in the first place :)

EDIT: Spent $800 over a year ago on it.
Yeah, I'm using my iPhone as the monitor.

wow, I impressed with the amount of street lights. That wasn't cheap. Also, can you tell me video editing software are you using?
Sure. For quick, simple things like this, something basic like Windows Movie Maker is enough. When I make a more professional one for advertising purposes, I'll use Da Vinci Resolve and Adobe After Effects.
