What's the difference between a remake and a movie reboot? check it now!

In recent years, we've probably heard a lot of movies being remake or reboot movies. Many people then equate the two terms to ease, but the meaning of the two is quite different. What is the difference?

REMAKE

Remake is the cultivation of films that still 'respect' the original source, especially the storyline. Remakes are usually done on films that once sold and occupied box-office. The goal is to be able to repeat the success that had ever been achieved. Can also be interpreted as a step to modernize a film.

One example of a remake film is "Dawn of the Dead". The original film was worked on by George Romero in 1978 with very low technology. So zombies do not look scary, even looks funny. But in the hands of Zack Snyder in 2004, the ferocious zombie was changed with a touch of technology that is much more advanced and the result quite makes you hysterical.

Although both recycle existing works, reboots still have different meanings with remakes. If the remake still appreciates the original source of the movie to be re-worked, unlike the case with reboot. This process does throw away the original film source. For example, we can see in the movie Batman "The Dark Knight Trilogy", or "Spider-Man" version of Sam Raimi which was then rebooted into "The Amazing Spider-Man", and also "Fantastic Four", which reportedly will be made not based Comic version.

REBOOT

Reboot can mean 'stripping' the original material and then creating a new story that may be different from the original story. Reboot usually only leaves the original title only.

We already have options in 2015 until next year, Hollywood will still be presenting reboot movies and remakes. However, it is still open the possibility of Hollywood will return to serve us the films are fresh and interesting.
