The idea of FREE WILL

in #film3 years ago

The first time I met George Jung aka Boston George was after he was released from prison in 2016. What I didn't know was that before we began production on the #BostonGeorge Docuseries he would have a parole violation and end up back in prison. This would delay full production for more than 8 months but it did give us the opportunity to get great interviews from behind the glass.

There were actual benefits that would happen because of his parole violation that ultimately helped us complete the series in the manner we did. You see George is an addict! He was addicted to smuggling, money, women, cocaine, cigarettes, and alcohol. Upon his 2nd release from prison there was a stipulation that he was not to drink. With a clear mind he was able to give the audience the most detail and we have 70tb of interviews!

George was not a man who was the easiest to handle especially when drinking scotch and this could have led us down a road that would have been far more difficult. I wont lie to you he still did drink but we were able to keep it under control for a short time.

Here is one of those interviews from prison. If you want to see more check out the #instagram page @bostongeorgejung

Philosophically speaking, do you think people should have the free will to do anything they want, as long as they're not harming someone else?

Back when George was operating yes I do. In todays world there is no such thing.
