The Space Between Me
"Too much space, if the calculations aren’t exact, god knows what will happen to me,” I said.
“I know,” Eliza said, adjusting the calibrations of atom placement.
“What?”
“You will die,” she said. “Time warping is fragile sir, one miscalculation of molecule placement…well… splat! You’ll turn into gravy.” She smiled.
Briefing/Summary
This is my second try at the fifty world challenge. I encourage anyone who is interested in writing to take this challenge. It is a good exercise and teaches writer to never use two words when one word will do. This is my vision on time warping. I imagine you would stand on a platform and have to trust your life with the operator of the machine. They would be responsible for creating an exact blueprint of your body and if they failed… well... You can guess. Enjoy.
Smiling here...
LOL! Made me smile writing the last sentence.
Nice job @galatichunter, a nice little micro-story
Very cleverly done. And I love that you supplied the inspiration behind the story!
