Hi! Co-hivers, it's Alycha again in your feed.
Have you tried going to a fiesta before? If you did, then you know how fun it is, especially when you see a lot of familiar faces that you haven't seen for a long time. But if you haven't, then you should stay and read my blog because I will be talking about how fun a fiesta could be.
At first, I don't have any plan on going to the fiesta since I am in Danao, and I don't have any plans on going home. But my bestie Rejean got home, and I was really hoping to see and hang out with her again because it's been forever since I've seen her.
That's why I decided to go home since it's also Sunday. I also ask her if she's available at 4 in the evening, because I wanted to go to the church with her, and gladly she says yes. That's why I picked her up in Lamac, where she was currently staying with Melca, who's the one who invited us.
Here we are!! Cutie 🥰

We then decided to go back in Lamac because the clock is ticking and it's getting dark already. When we arrived, we did mano to the Melcakes family (mano symbolises respect here in the Philippines).
Melcakes was so busy since her cousin was one of the candidates at their fiesta, and she was helping her sister with the make-up and hair. That's why we decided to just stroll for a while and look for the vendor who was selling affordable bracelets.
But sadly we didn't see her/him. We didn't know if the bracelets got sold out or if they already went home. It's just sad, but it's fine; we just keep our positive energy, lol.
And while strolling around with our friends, we saw our former teacher—Sir Lee. We took some photos with our teacher and talked a little, then bid our goodbye to him.
But of course, the night wouldn't be perfect if you didn't have a friend that has out-of-this-world humour.
Meet Jessa, lol.

We also share some shake (I also don't know why, actually HAHAHA).

And most importantly, our group photos.

Here we are eating delicious foods Melcake's family prepared for us 😜

And another photo session, lmao.

When done, we decided to stay beside the road because we couldn't take the temperature inside the alley.
I also forgot, Venus was not with us anymore since she went home already. It was already late, and she needed to go to her boarding house since she still has class for tomorrow (all of us actually, lmao).
When the event ended, we then went inside to check if a lot of people were dancing inside. And confirm, they're a lot, lol.
But before we dance, we light up some candles first — paying respect to the patron saint. And finally we got to go inside the disco. But before you can go inside, you need to pay first (not all parties in the baryo ask for fees; it actually depends on the head of the fiesta). And when you have already paid, they will put a mark on your hand; it means you have already paid. And if you want to go pee, you can still go back inside—just show the mark on your hand, and you're good to go (just like the typical bar, the difference was just that the party in fiestas isn't inside; it's in an open field).
Here is the mark that I was talking about.

It was really, really fun. We got to gossip together again, then hang out and make another memorable moment.

It was really memorable because the disco got stopped because the wires could not handle the disco. It's heavy, and it can't hold any longer; that's why the wires got burnt. It's making a light like a firework — my friend actually jumped from excitement because she thought that it was a firework, lmao...It takes a while for the cebeco to arrive; that's why we decided to just go home since it's midnight already and all of us still have classes tomorrow.
This night became one of my core memories. I really did have fun. I was really thankful for Melcakes for inviting me to their fiesta. Melcakes, if you did read this, I'm just going to say that I am very very very thankful to you—you're such a good friend. I hope that you won't change because you're perfect just the way you are 😉💋 (oa na self HAHAHAHA). Bitaw, thank you very very much, Melcakes. Loveyahh 😘💗

Also, thank you to lovely Kate for having such a nice phone; we got to take a lot of good photos, thanks to her.
I guess that's all for today. I hope that you've enjoyed reading this blog of mine.
