RE: The Undercover: US Photographers Involvement in the Aceh Conflict

in #fiction7 years ago

William Nessen's name is quite famous since Aceh was hit by armed conflict, among GAM rebels he called Wili.

William Nessen is not only a photographer, he is also a writer and documentary maker. Every movie released makes us want to join GAM to fight for an independent Aceh.

In addition, William Nessen claimed to be an American intelligence agent, it was proven after TNI troops discovered Wili's identity documents in one place in Aceh after a great battle between the TNI and GAM.

This document prompted the TNI to pursue Wili in the forests of Aceh. He threatened to shoot dead if not soon died at that time Aceh.

Wili was later found and picked up by the commander of TNI Iskandar Muda Bambang Darmono. He was taken to Banda Aceh using a TNI helicopter to be returned to the US ambassador.

One of William Nessen's works from Aceh is The Black Road, a documentary that draws on combatants and civil activists in Aceh.

In the documentary, William Nessen displays interesting quotes about Aceh and the victims of the conflict.

I don't understand whether Billi's allegations as a CIA agent are correct or just government engineering to prevent the United States from highlighting the Aceh issue.

But from Billy's documents found in the guerrilla area, TNI concludes this photographer as an agent.
