In the olden days, most of the people living in a particular society work hand to hand in order to foster the development of their society without having the aim of getting richer than others.
There was a fisherman in a community, whenever he catches fish, instead of selling the fish to the people at a very high price (considering his efforts), he would opt for selling at cheap price after distributing larger size of the fish for free.

The most surprising thing was that, the Fisherman would gather the people (especially the youth) and teaches them how to catch fish.
One faithful day, a young lady asked this fisherman why he has been cool and lenient with them; that he took out of his precious time to teach them fish catching.
The man replied that a successful man is the one who learn something and teaches others; the learner will add to his knowledge and the teacher will sharpen his brain by revising. By this, people would be lifted and the teacher would continue to rise as well.
This brought about "we rise by lifting others".
