I had once watch discovery channel that show a mentalist doing some mind reading performance. It claim that basically psychology can do all the work and I am just so hesitate to believe all of it, but I still assume discovery channel not doing anything fraud.

Anyway I really think that these fMRI would be pretty important for bridging science and psychology
