I've been crafting narrative stories ever since I could talk. The ideas that became RBM had their genesis in 1985. It's a big universe by now. Just for fun, here's the basic outline of what could be written:
- Jorgen Pangloss's origin story. Setting: WWII, postwar South America. Genre: Gothic horror
- The escape of Pangloss. Setting: USA. Genre: mystery/SFF
- The collapse of the modern world. Setting: USA. Genre: Thriller/military A cycle of novels is possible here.
- The rise of the Second Soviet. Setting: Mars. Genre: SFF
From here on, the genre is always SFF.
- The Foundry is established. Done
The destruction of the Foundry and the rise of the God-Empress. Three novels:
- Reversed Black Maria (draft mss exists)
- The Accidental Goddess (draft mss exists)
- The Unwilling Empress (draft mss exists)
The fall of the God-Empress. Two novels:
- The Finest Thread
- Boy's Adventure Tale goes here.
- The Sword Falls
The Otherness trilogy:
- The New Gods
- The New Earth (The current excerpt is from the notes for this story.)
- The New Heaven
An entire cycle of stories set in a new secondary world setting (the new heaven) could jump off at this point if I live long enough to get to them.
