Tommy was a very naughty boy.

It's not that Tommy wanted to be mean or disobedient, but he just couldn't resist carrying out the ideas that popped in his head!

One particular afternoon Tommy was sitting on his window seat looking out at the rain feeling rather bored. 

Mother had asked Tommy to tidy his room before he played with any of his toys. 

Tommy just found it so difficult to concentrate on tidying his room and it took so long, that is why he was sitting looking out the window, he just couldnt get his whole room tidy and he so badly wanted to follow the little odd looking rabbit that was hopping in the rain outside. 

Tommy found the rabbit rather peculiar! 

It kept looking back at him like it wanted him to follow. He thought it strange that a rabbit was hopping in the pouring rain. 

Before he even knew what he was doing, he found his arms opening the window and he was jumping outside onto the wet grass and following the rabbit, before he allowed himself to think about what he was doing. 

Tommy was running as fast as his legs would take him, determined to see where the strange little rabbit was going. 

What Tommy completely forgot about in his chase was that he was forbidden to go into the woods. 

The rabbit disappeared and Tommy came to a sudden halt, as he looked around he realised that he was in the heart of the woods! 

It was dark and and deathly silent. 

Tommy was getting scared and just wanted to turn back and go home. He was remembering his mother's warning about the woods and he was really sorry that he hadn't listened. 

Just as Tommy wanted to turn around and run back home he heard a sound that made his little heart squeeze in fear. He was so scared he couldn't get his legs to move. 

An owl hooted just above his head and he thought he would just die of fright. 

Tommy looked down at his feet and saw that there was a big puddle of water just ahead of him and wondered that he hadn't seen that before. 

He also saw the rabbit that he had been chasing, staring at him. 

The Rabbit spoke and Tommy suddenly thought he must be dreaming, but he wasn't, and it was all just too frighteningly real! 

The rabbit told Tommy to have a look at his reflection in the water so Tommy walked up to the water and looked down at his reflection. 

But... there... was... no reflection! 

Tommy also could not remember what he looked like! 

The strange little rabbit spoke again, 'Tommy, do you remember your mother asking you to tidy your room? She asks you everyday but you don't listen. She also told you not to enter these woods.' 

Tommy was trembling now and tears were rolling down his cheeks, he just wanted to go home! 

'I want to go home and I promise I'll clean up my room and I'll never come to the woods again', replied Tommy. 

The Rabbit nodded his head thoughtfully and said, 'I think you've learned your lesson.' 

The rabbit clicked his fingers and and suddenly Tommy was in his room again on the window seat staring out at the rain.... 

Tommy jumped down and immediately started tidying his room!
