It's storming and the kids are scared. Wraithvine calls to Lilbit after confirming the kids have no allergies. The soft purring and pets soon have the children sleeping peacefully. -- Anon Guest

It was definitely a dark and stormy night. Between the lightning flashes, it was black as pitch out there. The wind raged against the mountains and the trees. The thunder shook dust loose from the rafters, and the children were hiding under the tables and shrieking at most peals.

Wraithvine joined them, an island of calm amidst their oceans of fear. "Do you like cats, littles?"

"Yes?" they dubiously chorused. They couldn't understand why Wraithvine had asked. Until ze removed hir hat and allowed Lilbit to emerge from hir portable tower. The largest, fluffiest, most affectionate cat oozed into the real world and starting smudging up to the kids. She was not disturbed by the noise at all, producing a thunder of her own.

In moments, the children were petting her fur or giving her scritches. Cuddling up to her as she made biscuits in any soft materials.

The storm was not forgotten, but it became less terrifying with such calm and happy company. As their horrors eased, Wraithvine spun them a story about a foolish giant who clumsily stomped their way all over Alfarell and accidentally caused a lot of geographical features.

They were laughing at the storm before it began to die down, and some were lulled to sleep by Lilbit's purrs.

The innkeeper found them by that time and added to the relaxation techniques with some warm, spiced, griddle cakes and flavourful tea. Their guardians found them there at dawn, worried that they'd run from their rooms in the middle of the night, but relieved to find they had weathered the night in safety.
