James drove Olivia straight to her place. She needed a few things before they went to the police station. He walked to the apartment with her and waited at the door. She felt creepy going into the apartment alone. She grabbed her stuff and saw the broken doll on the floor. She has never hated anything so much in her life. Jean Pierre has killed the passion she had for these dolls, and she would never buy another doll without any suspicion.
They drove to the police station in silence. Olivia felt terrible about what happened with Sam and she didn't even want to think what could've happened. Jean Pierre was one sick bastard, but she wasn't going to allow him to mess up her life any longer.
Olivia and James wrote a combined statement and when detective Harding was completely satisfied, he signed the statement and added it to the file.
"There are quite a few cases against Mr. Jean Pierre. I have been doing research on him, and he is quite a gifted guy. He is hiding somewhere close, and if he is hiding in my city, I will find him."
James and Olivia drove straight back to the hospital after they finished at the station. Sam was awake and Olivia could see how relieved he was. She was horrified at the idea of something worse happening and she was extremely grateful that Sam was safe.
Sam was still a little sleepy, but was able to make a few jokes with James about his car, and then he went back to sleep. Olivia asked Sylvia if she wanted to go to lunch with them as none of them had eaten anything for the whole day and she was ravenous.
Olivia asked James if they could go for burgers again and he drove them to his favorite diner. This time, Olivia did not even think of the homeless people next to the road. Her thoughts were stuck on one thing only. All she could think of was Jean Pierre, and the absolute unnecessary horror he has put her through. Not even to talk about James and his family.
All three of them felt more relaxed, and they chatted casually while they waited for their burgers. Olivia asked if they could go back to the house after lunch because both of them had to work that evening, and James agreed. Sylvia asked if they could drop her off at the hospital as her car was still there, and she would go home when they came on duty.
When they arrived at home, James switched on the television and fell asleep on the couch. Olivia went to lie down on the bed but couldn't fall asleep. Her thoughts kept on drifting into the wrong direction and she knew that she had to do something to protect herself and James while Jean Pierre was still on the loose. Her life was in danger and so were the others. She was just about to drift off to sleep when her cellphone beeped. There was a message and she did not recognize the number.
"Meet me in an hour at the Knights inn motel. I am in room 6. Come alone, and don't notify the police."
If he had gone through this much trouble to try and get to her, she needed to protect herself. This scenario had to be resolved immediately. She took the car keys from the kitchen and quietly went outside to her car, careful not to wake James. He was still sleeping peacefully and he would be horrified if he knew what she was about to do.
She used her phone navigation system to drive her to the motel. She made one stop, and when she was satisfied that she could protect herself, she drove straight to the motel. She was ready to face him. She took a deep breath and then opened the car door and walked straight to room 6. She knocked softly on the door and in a matter of seconds she was inside his room. He locked the door and turned around and said:
" Hello my love...I missed you..."
Olivia's phone kept on ringing but she ignored it and took a seat on the bed.
"Jean Pierre, we need to talk."

I think she just made a big mistake. Let's hope nothing bad really happens.
I have read all the chapters up until this one because I needed to enjoy this story in its entirety. It is just an addictive read and a really outstanding story. My deepest appreciation for such a wonderful story that flows and pulls you in with each chapter. Thank-you!
Hello @giantbear
I am glad that the chapter 15 of the blind date is finally here. It serves as a tonic for me.
