"Escape from the greennecks" a five minute freewrite

This is today's offering (day 252) for @mydivathings' #365daysofwriting challenge (click here to see her current post)

I wrote this little scene in a five minute freewrite using themostdangerouswritingapp.com

And there it was. The sea.

Or was it the ocean.

I thought for a second. I didn't know. And it didn't really matter. Shit, it didn't matter at all.

Nothing did, anymore.

The main thing was after two weeks of walking, running and managing not to be killed by shooting rednecks, mindless murdering greennecks, or being hung, drawn and quartered by that really weird family of psychos a few miles back, I had reached the coast.

Great.

Now what? Even if I managed to find a ship that was willing to take me (for what? I had no gold? And money was worthless now) and even if that boat wasn't overrun by greenneck zombie bastards, where the hell would I go? Was it just us that had this terrible plague?

Or was the whole world infected.

Shit, it wasn't as if you could just google anything these days. You couldn't find out what was going on in the next village without risking your ass by going there, let alone in a another country across the sea/ocean/whatever.

I took a deep breath. The only thing you can do is keep on keeping on. It is the only thing you have left. Survive until the next murderous bastard tries to kill you.

Great stuff.

Tried that writing app out too. Deadly!

Thank you! I've been using the app for all my freewrites for 9 months. It certainly forces you to write and not to spend too much time messing about! You can learn to edit as you go - if you are quick! It is amazing what can come out of your head under pressure. Sometimes it is rubbish, but that is how it goes! :)

Rough. Overrun by zombies and you still have to watch out for ordinary psychos.

The ordinary psychos are always going to be worse than the greennecks! :)
