Pain Sucks!! This is NO life

in #fibromyalgia7 years ago

Sorry for all the complaining but I just don't feel like I can handle this sickness anymore. I have multiple things going on health wise, but some things are harder to accept than others. I feel that Fibromyalgia has stolen and taken over my life along with my other autoimmune diseases.

My brain and my heart wants to go out and enjoy life. Going on hikes, shopping, traveling, playing in the yard with my grandchildren, and so many other things. I would love to cook dinner, wash dishes, clean the house a little, and take a nice long hot shower and wash my hair really good and shave my legs; but I can't find the strength to do it. I can't do any of those things, I need assistance in the shower. My body is like NOPE not gonna let you. I'm gonna make you hurt all over and make your entire body burn and feel so exhausted it takes all your energy just to breathe; not to mention I'm going to cause you not to be able to tolerate hot, cold, or warm temperature. Your never gonna be relaxed and comfortable again.

On top of that I have muscle weakness worse on my left side and I have to use a walker to get around in my house. My legs and arms hurt so bad i can't even think about getting up and moving around. If I go outside of my house, lets say the yard or to the store on a rare once a month occasion, I have to use a wheelchair. It takes me about a week to recuperate from going to the doctor.

I want my life back so bad. Most days I cant help but to just cry not only from the pain but from the feeling that my life has been stolen from me and there isn't anything i can do about it. I am a fighter and a survivor I will NEVER give up and let my health problems win, but some days I do come very close.

I feel so depressed and trapped all the time. My kids and Champa say they understand and they mean well but I don't think they really have a clue as to what I go through everyday just to spend time with them. It is worth it though.

Doctors ask you to rate your pain on a scale of 0-10. Well my everyday normal is a 6-7. Most normal people would stay in bed all day or go to emergency room at those levels. I don't even remember the last time my pain was less than a 5 much less a pain free minute. My dream is to just be pain free for at least an hour, that would be so wonderful. I can't even express in words how that would make me feel. In case your wondering, yes I take medications that are suppose to help with pain and everything else I experience, but it doesn't really help. Like i said I'm never pain free not for a single minute of any day.

I will NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!board-2161880_640.jpg

I apologize for my personal health post to sound repetitive. I just feel the same way day after day for most days. Please if you know of any thing that may help me feel better please let me know in the comments.

I am sorry to hear that you are in such pain.

I have had severe joint pain and inflammation, and found that eliminating foods like sugar, grains, and dairy have really improved my vitality, decreased my inflammation and soreness, and, I’ve lost weight too.

You don’t mention anything about food as medicine, and I would suggest finding a functional medicine doctor who can identify the root cause of your illness. Could be so many things from environmental toxins to hormone imbalance to thyroid or your gut biome.

I have also experienced better, deeper sleep and no more depression using light therapy- specifically the REDjuvenator.

This product is just over a year old, and incredible testimonials keep coming in from all over the world. I just bought another one for my son who has shoulder pain from an old injury.

People are recovering from Lyme disease, back injuries, skin rashes, neuropathy, and more. It may be worth the investment for you to try.

At a minimum, I feel certain it will help you sleep, and that can go a long way to help you heal!

All best

@mhrose Thanks, I have changed my diet but I am willing to find a specialist that has more knowledge about it like you said. I have never heard of the REDjuvenator but I am going to research it. Thanks for the advice.

Good to hear — hopefully you have noticed some positive changes with healthy foods.

I also wondered about your vitamin D levels and if you are getting daily sunshine ☀️?

And magnesium - really important - it eliminated my restless leg syndrome.

My vitamin D usually stays very low, I take supplements. I can't get out in the sun much. I feel my skin burning after just 3-5 minutes and when I get out of the direct sun my skin feels better. It actually looks like a sunburn when in sun and goes away as soon as my skin cools back off and out of the sun.
I have heard about taking magnesium supplements but I haven't taken any yet. I may start them soon.

Hmmm. People have taken astaxanthin to avoid sun burn.

I have very fair skin, and I use the red light before going out in the sun. It provides protection from the UV rays in midday so I don’t burn anymore.

Other people who have been very sun sensitive - always needing to wear sunglasses - have completely improved since using the REDjuvenator.

You seem to have something deeper going on, tho. Using the light on your wrists for 20 minutes/day could really help your immune system.

In any case, keep searching - I feel certain you will find relief!

Thanks, I will keep researching the REDjuvenator. I do have to wear sunglasses at all times when outdoors. I sometimes have to wear them inside if the light is too bright.
I've never been sunburn really, I have turned red then it darkens but never any pain with it , just in the last 3 years my skin looks and feels like a sunburn then goes away almost instantly when I get back inside.

I suggest getting sunshine before the UV rays come out - at sunrise when the sky is primarily red/orange, and sunset. Right now, if you are going out mid-day 10-3, you are getting UV rays and it seems they are hard for you to handle. With the sunrise/sunset light, you can build up to more sunlight.

Good luck!
