I used to be in Lincoln City from time to time - my grandparents lived there! I miss that place so much - this was before the casino, of course... Lots of cool little stores there too...

I think it's managed to do some updating without totally losing it's small coastal town charm. There's plenty of people up and down the highway, at least there has been during the summer.
It's been one of our favorite places to go, along with Newport, simply because of our favorite restaurant, Mo's, is there, and because of the outlet stores, which isn't coast related at all. We do make it down to the beach on occasion, when it's not too cold or windy, but it's just not going to be like points south, such as California.
The views, though, are some of the best I've ever seen, and folks have kind of their own vibe. I like to visit, but the more I'm there, the more I'm realizing that I don't think I would fare well living there. Which is sad because I do want to be on a coast somewhere, just a little sunnier and warmer most the year. :)
