@farm-mom. Firstly, a big congratulations on the @appreciator vote and the @curangel feature.
Grandmas are the best! Mine used to make two pumpkin pies for Christmas, one for the family, (no longer with us) and the second for me. And only grandmas can make Christmas candy! I didn’t get any Christmas candy for probably 10 years—then I met Pura, she still has a grandma. For the past 4 years, we would be mailed Christmas candy, this is the first year without... but she still sent Pura cash—as, again, only Grandmas do.
Your family is lucky to have you. @foodfightfriday is lucky to have you, too. Ya’all have a great weekend, happy holidays to you both. I give this one an in-the-Park double seeing how your man really set the bar this round—“ka’pow!”
It's funny how this works, sometimes I will think one post is going to be well received and really isn't, then another one will just blossom rather quickly , surprising the heck out of me. Either way, it's fun.
Bob's mom was a candy maker also, we would get boxes of chocolate covered raisins and nut clusters that were off the charts. She always made everything from scratch with the best chocolate. Boy I miss her. I can get a little sad around the Holidays, missing my peeps, but then I roll back to my childhood and smile, I was a lucky little girl.
