For a south indian like me i am getting to know about this lohri festival for the 1st time now.. (now i am residing in morth india).
So i was clueless when i knew about this featival.
As a part of our department celebration we had an event on 13th night. I got some informationa about lohri festival from my colleagues. They told me its a harvest celebration during the winter and also a kinda new year celebration.
(This was the scene on that day noon time.. they were making something for the night..
Around 7.30 pm the program started by ablazing these woods. Dhol beats were there and speakers were loud enough to dance. Obviously some special snacks too. We were dancing upto the beats and enjoyed that night well

Am agreeing to your point.. but here it's just like normal camp fire. In winter time without camp fire its very cold here
