Why I don't call myself a feminist and sustenance.

Before I start on a seemingly long rant, here, have a picture of me 😝

I've been mercilessly doing my squats. Lol!! Or rather, trying to at least. Can't be a summer biggie now can I. I had a humongous bender over the weekend. I have to get back to my usual workout routines. Guh!! Blame my usual groupies for their lack of self control when it comes to alcohol and their influential power on me πŸ˜‹

I had the pleasure of meeting my best friend after 4 long months of not seeing her. And I'm really bad at replying anyone so of course, I didn't exactly keep in touch with her πŸ˜…πŸ˜… it felt like nothing changed. We partied hard. Bender. Weekend bender. Lol.

Can you imagine that after 4 years of friendship only do I notice that she's significantly taller than me!!?? :/ lol.

Anyhow, back to the main topic here!! Feminism and why I do not call myself one or associate myself with the group or its ideologies.

But before I start, here is what Google has to say about its definition.

As a biologist (Biotechnologist really) I recognize that the sexes are not equal and can never be equal. Women are different and lumping the sexes together is just plain wrong. We aren't the "weaker sex" either; we're just different and it's wrong to push for equality in my opinion. What we should strive towards is equity instead.

Let me consult Google again for the definitions of both equality and equity and why equity trumps equality any given day.

So here it is- equality.

And equity.

I'm honestly not the best at explaining myself or my ideologies so bear with me. Why equity trumps equality is because equality is when you strive for the same healthcare for all. But equity is when you are able to comprehend and perceive the differences between different healthcare packages and why some suit others better. Sorry if my analogies are all over the place. Lol that's the best I could come up with for now. Plus I'm nerdy and in that field πŸ™„πŸ™„ so yeahh.

Feminists these days also like to invest precious time and resources in bullshit and petty little issues like why name-based statuses like Miss and Mrs. should be abolished. And the worst is when they try to convince you that you can be healthy at any size. No. Just NO!! It's just plain wrong. Morbid obesity kills. Women of the West are so privileged and they think these issues should be addressed. How about those women who really need it?? Women in third world countries and such.

My sister's ex's sister killed herself because her husband was abusive and it's frowned upon to even want a divorce (rural India). Can you imagine being that oppressed??

The reason why I'm blogging about this is because I had a clash with a close friend who told me I can't multitask. And that smaller issues can be addressed alongside the bigger and more severe issues.

This was my response to her. I'm not uploading hers for privacy reasons and that was her statement and I do not have permission to upload it here.

Westernized feminism is a privilege many other women do not have. Free the nipple campaigns in the USA?? Some women are still being stoned to death for not wearing the Hijab (headscarf) in other parts of the world. Intersectional or third wave feminism has become that of equivalence to a cult. Women are supposed to empower others. Not strive towards a state of unhealthiness.

What's wrong with being overweight?? A whole multitude of reasons these fems don't seem to understand. If you truly loved your body, you'd watch what you put in it and make sure it's healthy.

Okay, I guess that rant was too long. On the sustenance part of the title, FOOD!! Lol. I'm back in Malaysia and I've been devouring all kinds of Asian food. Super yum!!

This is a bowl of vermicelli in coconut curry. Garnished with beansprouts and puffy tofu :)

One of my all time favourite meals. Couldn't get that anywhere in Austria. It's a South Indian meal typical to Tamil Nadu. Rice, curry, veggies and mutton (goat meat) on a banana leaf. Best with a yogurt drink-mooru.

And Baskin Robbin's 😍😍😍😍 my most favourite ice-cream brand!!!!
