I would like to dedicate this article to my father. To be frank, he is not the best father that anyone could ask for, but he always provided our family with everything we need, both financially and emotionally, and for that, I'm forever grateful, without him I would be nowhere and certainly would not have the better life which my parent's siblings are admiring.
I have to admit that I truly believe I inherited his senses of humor and handsome appearance, but that can not cover his mistakes which impressed me so much when I was a little child, the whole family have no sense of security at all in that period.
Gambling, unfaithful to my mother---that's all he did. The gambling made my family from rich to broken, he had been gambling to the last minute when there was only a bicycle in the backyard, no one could persuade him to give up the bad habit at that time, and it hurt my mother so much.
In my memory, he always had affair with another woman in his twenties and early thirties. according to mother's description, we suffer a lot from that. One thing impressed me most during that time is that my mother and I went out trying to find him cause no response from phone call, that's a day with heavy rain，both of us are so hungry and my mother bought me a steamed bun with the only left 5 RMB. until now every time my mother recalls that she can't stop with tears.
You must think he is truly a bad father, but no one is perfect. after years of dedication to my family and business, my family seems to be on the right track, and my father do whatever he could to make the three of his children have the access to school in a totally strange city.He do his best to provide us the chance to be educated,and all of us ended up having a decent job now.
I can’t image what my family has gone through in the past decades,they made so many efforts to live in the city from scratch and provide us with everything we need without any complain.
What my father taugh me by example is that no matters what mistakes you have made,once you realize you can do better,try your best to be the best of yourself, one can not only live in the past cause the better life is in the soon future.
