Some quick feedback today. Busy.org has been slow lately which has forced me back to using Steemit.com. One annoying thing that I've found (amongst the dozens of other oversights that I've writen about on Steemit.com) is that it's not possible to reply back to a discussion comment from the "Replies" page.

It's awesome that I can upvote a comment from this page, but why can't I reply to a comment? Why do I have to go to the actual discussion page? Some of the time the page will load with the specific comment in focus, but other times it doesn't and have to to scroll down thru all the comments and find the one that I'm looking for. Sure, I can use "find" by pressing Ctrl+f but it's unnecessary steps to simply reply back.
So, if the Steemit.com team is listening, which they most certainly are not, please log this as another Feature Request in your ever growing list.

I think a reply there wouldn’t work becuase often that view only shows part of the comment. If reply popped open a modal window like it used to which included the comment you’re replying to, that would be helpful.
good point, Luke. I wonder what it will take for other websites to build front-ends on top of Steem. My team and I have thought abt it so many times, but we can't figure out a revenue structure for it and we don't wanna use ads.
Many of the tools right now are listed as beneficiaries so they get a piece of every single payout for posts created on their site. If you can provide significantly more value that the Steemit interface, you could do well (though competing with “free” which is what Steemit is right now with no beneficiary set will not be easy).
hey, btw how do we create beneficiaries for a post like DTube does? @SteemSmarter would like to use this type of smart contract in lieu of creating a corporation to divide up our stake in the project. I expect it to grow quite large and would love to nail this down. If you know of a resource i'll be glad to read.
Btw, awesome lvl 73 reputation. I post every day, comment, upvote and reply all the time and it's such a slow process to lvl up. I'm kinda confused as to what the algo is.

yeah, exactly. It's hard to compete with free...even if free isn't very nice to the user's eyes or experience. For now, we're gonna keep building the tagging engine and release some specific reports on the global, tag/community and personal scale for now.
Busy, eSteem, Utopian, dtube, etc are all on the case as luke says.
I think the market is fairly covered with regards to blogging/video/sound, but if you can come up with a new media/resource then the door is wide open!

Agreed 100%, other features I want include notifications when someone upvotes my comment/post and notifications when someone comments on them. Tons of quality of life improvement opportunities on Steemit!
check out Busy.org! They have a great notifications menu.

I am always on mobile and always go back to steemit.com/steemitstage.com after posting at busy.org and other sites/apps because steemit mobile view is better. My only problem at steemit is the 'preview ' on my iPhone safari when creating new post and no draft folder that's why I sometimes use busy. And when I draft blogs at Wordpress I prefer to publish at steemit.com because I am not familiar with busy's coding. I can't use the "markdown" from mobile so I type html codes manually which I find easier to copy/paste on steemit.
Nice suggestion @ashe-oro some time it's pathetic for replying one comments you scroll down lot of page. sorry to hear that you are bitten by centipede. Be aware of poisonous centipede. Centipede love to enter human ear. so i advise you to cover your ear with some foam while sleeping. It's a great news that you are feeling ok. keep sharing @ashe-oro

lolz you will. But mostly centipedes are coward. They attack you when you will be sleeping. that's why do precautionary measures. Hopefully you will never encounter any centipede on your remaining tour. Stay safe and happy @ashe-oro
Yes, that's one of the things that's also bothered me a bit about Steemit. Since it's still in Beta, I'm hoping that it's one of the things that will be addressed in future updates.

This would be a great feature. Hope someone will implement it.
Also, another one that I heard a few days ago but can't remember exactly from who so sorry about that would be a way to sort comments by reputation.
Not that reputation always reflects the value of someone's posts or comments but I think a lot of people with huge followers and a lot of comments on their post would find this feature valuable.
Busy.org really does a lot of slow work
which is very paunful. There is a need to take immediate action on this matter @ashe-oro
I think The authorities will give us a solution very soon
yeah, i do to. I think it's just a matter of time. A rising Steem price also will incentivize more users to the platform and hopefully more investment in the websites.

but after few days with these issues, i came back to steemit
i still mainly use Busy.org because it has so many cool features, but hopefully they find ways to speed it up. I can online imagine how many calls to the blockchain and to their database it requires.

it is very young and this year could be RLY huge for blockchain-based social media. I just want ppl to be impressed when they come here. The Steem Inc team is sitting on Millions of $. I wish they would spend $100k to make this website AMAZING.

and make the reply text box bigger by default. I'd like to see 4-5 lines.

LuckiIy i don't have the problem of too many comments to find lol. But i do look forward to comments on here, unlike on youtube where most people are just trolling and like to be negative.
great point @ashe-oro sometimes a post gets more comments then it is difficult to find someone comment on which you want to give a reply.

Ya it is true , there are so many bugs on the platform and it takes a lot of time to load the page when you click on reply .... Hope they fix this quick reply thing quickly...
They need to work on this quickly only fixing of problems like this can make this steemit go boom in this year 2018....
agreed. I've started to recommend ppl go to Busy.org as their primary interface for Steem. I really really really hope that we have an awesome user experience that can steal away some of the billion ppl who currently use other social media sites.
In my opinion they need to fix these minor bugs which irritate alot and make an official app for android version so each and every user should use it with ease ...
I have seen my friends saying this platform is not user-friendly ... They first have to understand the UI and them understanding how this platform works that makes them more helpless and as a result they leave the platform ....
@steemit needs to improve alot ...if they want this platform to be among top 50 sites these things become mendatory for them to work on and in less time....

it's actually working pretty well today. i'm able to click the comment and it take me directly there. It's really great when it works this way.

Good idea @ashe-ero I agree with you, at steemit.com we can not reply to people's comments directly. But we should go to the article first it's a slow thing, Hopefully steemit.com team can update it.
