I've learned this the hard way. Fear held me back for so, so long and now I'm using those lessons to help others breakthrough quicker than I did.
Fear can be utterly paralysing, it can damage confidence, strip courage and prevent us from living our best lives. If we truly want freedom in our lives, whatever that means for us, we have to find a way of overcoming fear.
One way to start is to grab a pen and paper and just write all the things down that you're fearful of, no matter what it is, how big or small it seems. The act of putting on paper changes the energy and gives perspective.
Then begin to explore whether these are true fears or just assumptions, this is when it can helpful to work with a coach or trusted friend.
Then you'll need to give some thought to what action you can take to be less fearful, it might be something completely unrelated, maybe to overcome your fear of speaking in public, you have to practice walking into a coffee shop by yourself and ordering a cuppa - it's whatever feels like a stretch for you.
