30 days without food - End of Day 3

in #fasting6 years ago

I did manage to complete 3 days but at about 80 hours into my fast, I ended up having a very large meal lol. I am not going to make any excuses. I was not feeling ill or weak at that point. I actually felt quite good. My problem was just mental weakness, as it was more the habit of eating that broke me than hunger itself. I had been silly enough to surround myself with people who were constantly eating and that is a mistake I shall not repeat next time I attempt the 30 day fast which will be very soon, as I have eaten like a king since breaking my fast and feel I will be ready to try again before long.

Good effort! I've never really tried to fast more than a day, though a few times when I was sick I went a long time without eating. I did OMAD or one meal a day for 3 years and then eventually felt like I prefer snacking or having a small meal earlier in the day before my big meal.

There's some interesting science behind fasting, and some is concerning.. Some people even die fasting.. It can be dangerous.. What makes you want to try fasting for so long if you don't mind me asking?
