The first recorded jean jacket was created in the United States in about 1880 by Levi Strauss, approximately ten years after he had invented jeans as a new type of work apparel intended for use by cowboys, miners, and railroad workers. Ever since the invention of the jean jacket it has caught on as a style trend and is now extremely fashionable. Today I'm going to teach you how to style one.
What to wear it with:
Shirts:
- Keep the t-shirts extremely basic with no designs on them, just colors (White and grey look good).
- Over-sized shirts work the best.
Hoodies:
- In colder weather, wearing a grey or white hoodie underneath works extremely well.
Don't go over the top on shirt and hoodie designs and colors, because you want your denim jacket to be the center of attention
Pants:
- As for the pants, black jeans and a denim jacket look really dope together.
- Also black sweats work well too.
NEVER WEAR A DENIM JACKET WITH BLUE DENIM JEANS
(unless you want to be bullied)
Shoes:
- For the sneaker end of the spectrum, a safe bet with a light washed denim jacket is a simple pair of white shoes.
- Some cheap, but also stylish shoe choices are:
Reebok Classics
Stan Smiths
Air force 1 Lows
Where to purchase:
