The pictures I used in my introduction were taken a few weeks back and since then everything has really taken off!
Here we have our corn in the back row, sunflowers inbetween, nasturtium, and chamomile. Watermelon patch to the left and pumpkin patch to the right.
We have a Jaboticaba tree to the right, hops are climbing and budding like crazy right now. We have golden nugget, chinook, cascade, and willamette doing very well at the moment.
Our peppers are doing great, just starting to fruit. Eggplant is surviving along with the zucchini and squash we just transfered. The oregano is filling the bed in nicely. Tomatoes are in the other bed and they're fruiting great, but the leaves are curling like mad, even though we water regularly. Starting to think it is a viral issue. Any comments or advice are appreciated!

Ooo lovely! Nasturtiums are definitely delicious! I've had tomatoes do something very similar but for me it was later in the summer which I'm quite sure was a blight. Are they turning brown also? If not you could possibly be over watering but that seems less likely.

That may be the case. We water once a day. I think I remember reading somewhere that every third day is best but my husband disagrees. Thank you again!
Yep, anything to help tomato plants! I learned the lesson the hard way after giving up on some unhappy looking plants and leaving them to die, only to realize a week later they perked back up once they had used all the water that was drowning them haha, you can have too much of a good thing..

We have just cleared it out and note I'm trying to make sure that all the bush trees are dead before I start seeding.

Have you thought about trying to trellis those crazy squash plants? Should help take up less space for your urban gardening! :)
I think what you might be talking about is our pumpkin patch. We only have one squash plant in our box this year. But the pumpkins are going crazy up next to the house.
Pumpkins are squash. :) you could try trellising it too... unless they're giant pumpkins! Hahaha

Looks great! I made a couple of raised beds this year for vegetables. I like the nasturtium's when I was growing up we used to eat those in sandwiches (my mom was a total hippie).

Thank you :)They most certainly are! Our backyard is great, but full of trees. Not complaining, I love it because we feel like it's an oasis in the city. Front yard gets full sun so we're taking advantage of that. We've had a lot of neighbors happy with the result and talking about doing the same. Here's to growing food and not lawns! ;)
