Character creation time!

With VaX the Observer now in place, the other entities and objects of Kalavia are ready to be channeled to our world as NFTs.

And the first batch are going to be Player Characters!

To give you a taste, see below an unnamed Explorer card, which is one class that your character could have!

How do I create my character?

Simple! Just leave a direct reply to this post, providing me with the following information:

• Proposed name of your character (ideally not too long, due to space constraints).
• The proposed class of your character. You can choose between:
  • Crafter
  • Miner
  • Explorer
  • Warrior
  • Noble
  • Channeler
  • Sorcerer
  • Grower
  • Scientist
• The preferred home location of your character in Kalavia (if you have any preference!).
• A rough description of what your character should (visually) look like.

Character creation is completely free, but I reserve the right to only create characters for the first twenty people replying here, as it will involve some manual labour from my side 😁.

Once the character is created, you will receive a single unique NFT representing the character. Note that all characters will have stats based on their class (and the title will be the class). However, their name will be visible on the card, and their card will also have an entirely unique image. In addition, stats of all Player Character cards are likely to change over time as I gradually refine the game/power mechanics of Kalavian Tales.

Background context

After the previous posts I've gotten a good impression about the current community size. Essentially, as far as I can tell around a dozen people are currently engaging with Kalavian Tales in one way or another.

For some projects, having such a small community of participants can be a detrimental disadvantage, but for Kalavian Tales the opposite is very much true. Given that my ambition is to mostly give away distinct NFTs rather than sell them en masse, a small community means that there is room for a lot of room to play with at the moment! 👍

The Observer NFTs have already been created and will soon be given away. They have mostly a symbolic role, as (1) they mark the kick-off of the Kalavian Tales NFT collection and (2) those holding them have made a statement in support of the project growing and developing.

In about 3 to 5 days, the Observers will be distributed and NFT mechanisms of Kalavia will begin to do their work. At time of writing, all these mechanisms are all manual, which is no problem because the community is small! 😎👍

This post details the first of such mechanisms, which entails the temporary ability to propose custom character NFTs.

Once the character NFTs are created and released, I will distribute them among the players and also officially launch the first version of the Kalavian Tales NFT Manager (which is already operational), which allows you to view your NFTs and do all sorts of other things with them.
