Flora and Fauna

The following contains information pertaining to the different Flora and Fauna found on Keltorin, this is not a complete guide it only contains records on species of note for abilities or harm they may cause.

Appearance:

The Kimrie are a small animal that grow up to 35 cm in length, their tail however is at least twice the length of their entire body.

Kimrie have the ability to run on all fours, but are also able to stand and move more slowly around on their two hind legs - though when on all fours they can move at amazing speeds.

They have a short snout covered in shorter fluffy fur but still quiet puffy, encased in its mouth are short but very sharp white teeth - used to eat meat, fruit and seeds alike.

Known for their beauty the Kimrie are covered in white fluffy fur, except for the black pointed tips on their ears and tail the fur is as white as snow - coupled with their large bright green eyes, their black wet nose and black pads on the soles of their feet - They are astonishingly graceful and stunning creatures.

They also have the ability to climb and descend trees with ease, this is due to their sharp retractable curved black claws - they are also aided by their amazingly flexible and muscled fluffy white tails which they use to wrap around branches or their owners arms and chest for stability.

Dangers:

Kimrie are highly intelligent and able to be trained and kept as pets, they are known for their loyalty when they in turn are treated well.

They are highly inquisitive and affectionate little animals and often approach people in the wild, without fear but more curiosity and interest.

They can move in silence and if they choose remain hidden from sight they have large numbers in the wild, but can be difficult to find if your searching for them - however they can and will find people with ease when they choose.

Kimrie have been trained but it is important to note that they can be trained to do evil deeds and have even been trained to attack people, as long as the Kimrie's owner treats them well they will be loyal and obedient and kill for their masters.

However if they are treated poorly, the Kimrie have been known to attack and inflict serious wounds on its chosen victim. Whether it be a stranger attacking it in the woods to a master unforgiving in his attempts at training the Kimrie and caging the animal for extended times - the Kimrie will defend itself - to the death.

The Kimrie are able to climb people and they have sharp claws and teeth, they are more than capable of inflicting serious damage when they choose.

It has been noted from sole Kimrie attacks in the past that they will intentionally attack a person's ankles first to render them immobile, then when the victim is stuck they will then use their claws to grip the flesh of the back and start attacking the backs of the arms.

It is only after the arms are severely damaged they will move up and bite and tear at the throat of the human that it's attacking, ensuring its own safety by disabling it's victim.

In the wild they tend to live in large family groups, with up to 50 members - if you provoke an attack from a family of this size there is little chance of surviving. No longer having to be cautious when in numbers Kimrie will swarm an attacker in moments, leaving no chance for escape for the victim and little chance of any Kimrie being hurt by sheer numbers alone.

Though it is important to note the Kimrie will only attack if they are attacked first.

Treatment:

If you manage to escape a Kimrie attack you will likely require stitches and a Belim Root poultice to warn off possible infections.

If infection continues combine Tellams Leaf with the Belim Root in the poultice, using the two ingredients together is the victim's best chance for survival after an attack.

They will undoubtedly require Cintar seeds for pain relief, once the fever has passed the victim will be comforted by the Itono Bush paste applied to the sight of the bite.

Though you should wonder why someone was attacked by a Kimrie in the first place.

Located:

The Kimrie are known to originate from the north originally, however due to the popularity of the species they are now found on all continents of Keltorin - In homes and in the wild alike.

They are found in market cages in Irahdah ready for sale, running wild in the Santel Plains and the Emerald Forest.
