Never heard the term "quadrobics" until now, but the phenomenon you describe is well-known in the west. People (this regrettably includes adults, I can confirm) who engage in it are called "furries," and they have been the butt of many a joke for years now, my favourite being this one:


Were it just kids being kids, it would be nothing to worry about, but it's much more than that. Furries are an entire subculture which I know a disturbing amount about, despite never having personally met any. I may have an unhealthy fascination with people who are stark raving mad.

you're right, it's a kind of Furry, another kind of this subculture. At first they were called "furry", now they are Quadrobics, and it has gone much deeper now.
