Steemit is giving me the opportunity to see life from a different perspective. And i think it's a good way to go. After my Saturday morning training, on my way back home I came across these children sitting by the fire with a big pot in front of them.
It was cold, they obviously are enjoying the heat emanating from the fire. But that isn't much of my concern. My concern was the look on their faces as it obvious that something wasn't right and that got me moved.
I was curious so I went to them to enquire what could be the problem. Without much time and effort they opened up to me that their parents are not around and they don't know when they are likely to return home and what to eat is a challenge to them.
At this point I became worried and uncomfortable. I was only returning from the field without anything on me. So I stayed and gisted with them for a while because it's all I could give at that point in time. In no time we got familiarised and i made jokes with them and laughed about a lot of things. Finally, I made a promise to them that I will come back to visit them again. They were very happy and didn't want me to leave.
I was able to put a smiles on their faces even though I didn't have anything tangible to give at that point in time. But I gave my heart and I'm glad I did.
Ladies and gentlemen, meet Caleb, Chukwuebuka and Chikamso!
They don't have to take the streets before we protect them and show some love. It starts NOW!

It is incredible to see such kindness. One of the things I love about steemit the most is the positivity and helpful community. I can hardly look at facebook (farcebook) any more. Everything on there is so negative and angry. Steemit seems to attract the best of humanity. Keep giving! Sometimes your time is more valuable than your money! 🙏🏻
