The spirit of it was Love. Love for Maya and her daughter, who was kidnapped by the state's social workers.
MSP/PAL members, MSP Waves Listeners, Steemians of every creed and color came together and donated for music requests. Some even donated without requesting music.

SBD 121.743.
The current SBD to USD rate is 4.0844.
The interbank rate for USD to CAD at the time of writing is: 1.2777
Calulation
SBD to USD: 121.743 x 4.0844 = USD 497.25
USD to CAD: 497.250 x 1.2777 = CAD 635.33
That's more than half of the required amount of CAD 1,200 for Maya's trip.
