My 1 year old and 2 week old are only 13 months apart. Im so happy they get to love each other. The 13month old has had no real jealousy and all the kids are loving their new sister.
Some of my best tips for bringing home a baby is never be holding bubs when you first see your other child. Show them they are still really important. Once I had kissed and cuddled my 13 month old he didn't seem at all concerned with me giving affection to the baby.
If they are old enough get them to help with nappies (getting a nappy or wipes) or just stroking baby to form a bond with bubs. I love seeing my kids bond with each other. It is amazing how quickly they fall in love with each other.
